Pack film

bought some fuji fp-100b in the smaller size (3.25 x 4.25). I bought it after it was discontinued so it feels a bit like gold. It's hard to go back to shooting it freely. I keep the discard tabs after I found out that you could reclaim the negatives on FP-100c. I've had mixed success with it. In some cases, the neg was fantastic; sharp with a nice latitude. other times, the reclamation process (removing the black backing with liquid bleach) causes discoloration OR an exposure that yielded a great instant positive is blown out on the negative. given that we can shoot large format, it probably isn't worth spending too much time learning the intricacies of exposing for reclaimed negatives unless it yields something special. on a whim i decided to put some bleach on the back of a FP-100B negative and, well, it works too, in fact, it seemed to require no waiting, bleach on, wipe off coating (it's a touch more complicated but not by much). also, quite inconsistent (for me). I should also mention, my homemade snoot. I was using a 400 watt bowen strobe with the most basic reflector. I placed a 8" diameter 48" long cardboard poster tube over the strobe.
